Chris Tomkins

Director of Photography / Editor / Colour Gradist

Chris Tomkins - Director of Photography / Editor / Colour GradistChris Tomkins began his film career as a teenager forcing his long suffering family to appear in badly shot short films. Since then, he has applied this early experience to writing, performing, directing, shooting, editing and creating content for television, the internet, mobile phones, not-for-profit and corporate organisations. He wrote and animated “The Adventures of Terrence and Spider: Professional Bouncers” for the Comedy Channel in 2003, and his music video for Melbourne band “Man Bites God” was nominated for an “Indie Video Award” in the BelowGround Music Video Awards in 2006.  In 2009, Chris developed a slightly unhealthy interest in colour grading, and now dreams in perfectly colour-balanced visuals.

Sam O'Reilly - Sound RecordistSam O’Reilly (aka ‘Samurai’) has worked in many areas of sound, from designing and building radio stations to recording international acts at festivals. Currently focusing his skills on Film and TV, his most exciting project has been recording location sound for the Animal Planet series, ‘Whale Wars’. This seven-hour documentary captured the lives of the crew of the anti-whaling vessel the Sea Shepherd. Sam spent a month with the SS crew in the oceans surrounding Antarctica and was right amongst the action, surrounded by icebergs, 12-metre swells and grenade attacks from Japanese whalers. Luckily, Sam survived his Antarctic adventures to work on this beautiful film, ‘Rain for Morgan’. He hasn’t enjoyed working on any project as much as this, and is proud to be a part of the team.
