We are very excited to announce that Rain for Morgan has been awarded the “Best Narrative Short” award at the Festivus Film Festival in Colorado.

Producer Marisa Brown was there to accept the award and accolades.

Rain for Morgan will be screening at the Festivus Film Festival 2011 in Denver, Colorado, USA on January 15 at the Bug Theatre. Marisa (producer/director) will be donning her warmest thermals and heading over to the US to catch the screening.

Melbourne Screening

Despite a number of international screenings, our Melbourne friends and supporters haven’t had a chance to see ‘Rain for Morgan’ yet. So we’re hosting a small screening at Loop Bar (Meyers Place, off Bourke St in the city) on Monday November 22. Please come – and bring all of your friends too! Entry is free and we’d love to see you there.

Date: November 22
Location: Loop Bar, Meyers Place, City
Time: Join us for drinks from 6pm; the film will be playing in the theaterette on repeat from 6.45pm until 8pm.

Morgan Wins Award in Ireland

We are pleased to announce that Rain for Morgan was awarded the “Best International Film under 50 minutes” at the International Film Festival in Ireland on Saturday night.

Marisa Brown accepted the award on behalf of the team.

Ireland premiere

“Rain for Morgan” makes its Irish premiere on Friday September 10 at the International Film Festival of Ireland in Tipperary.

The film has also been nominated for an award at this festival which will be presented at an awards ceremony at Knocklofty House on Saturday 11th September.

‘Rain for Morgan’ off to the UK and Ireland

Last weekend we were very excited to have our UK premiere at the International Youth Film Festival in Wales (whose patron is the very gentlemanly Anthony Hopkins!). We were nominated for Best First Time Director (Short Film) and Best International Short, which was a huge honour.

Next month we’re at the Ireland International Film Festival in Tipperary, where Marisa (producer/director) and Chris (DOP) will be attending the festival, doing a Director’s Introduction, and hosting a Q and A session afterwards. If you’re in town, do say hello!
